In 1992 the REISSDORF brewery opened its first brewery-pub – a „Brauhaus“ - at number 40, Kleiner Griechenmarkt. A building with a history, because in 1907 the Weber Brauhaus was located right here. This already had a fine reputation as a gastronomic institution in the heart of Cologne. Today the Brauhaus Reissdorf is continuing its one hundred-year-old tradition according to the principle: Cologne gossip and stories, Cologne music and song. REISSDORF KÖLSCH beer fresh from the barrel is an absolute must on the menu here, along with delicious regional dishes from the Rhine area. If you order something different in the Brauhaus at the Griechenmarkt you won’t be very popular with the waiters!
The menu will certainly delight anyone who loves to eat specialities from the Rhineland, because here you can find everything your heart desires: from the dark roll with a chunk of Dutch cheese to blood sausage with onions and black pudding with potato and apple puree. On top of all that, the customers are treated to delicious potato fritters on Mondays, and on Thursdays there is a selection of different schnitzels. One special highlight at the Brauhaus is its own catering service that can provide Cologne specialities for your function or party.
„Run BY Cologne people (the „Kölsche“) FOR Cologne people“ – the atmosphere, the food and the waiters are typical for Cologne! Very few tourists stumble across this Brauhaus – here Cologne is still, as they say in dialect, „Kölle“!
